FAQ
Questions about workflow, AI responsibility, offline use, and billing.
Written for veterinarians and practice decision-makers evaluating workflow fit, offline use, AI responsibility, pricing, and billing.
What does offline-first mean in VetGnosis?
You can keep working with patient records, consult notes, vitals, appointments, attachments, and billing documents when connectivity is unreliable. Sync-dependent features update when the app reconnects, and AI requests can be queued for processing once the device is back online.
Does VetGnosis diagnose cases automatically?
No. VetGnosis provides AI-assisted differential support inside a clinician-led workflow. Final diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, and case decisions remain the responsibility of the licensed veterinary professional.
Who is VetGnosis built for today?
VetGnosis is individual-first: independent veterinarians, ambulatory and mobile vets, field vets, production-animal vets, wildlife vets, and small clinics that need structured records without a heavy desktop PMS.
What is included in the free trial?
The free plan keeps core patient-care workflows available and includes 5 one-time AI differential credits so you can evaluate how structured consult records and AI support fit together before choosing a paid plan.
How does AI credit usage work?
Each AI differential request uses one AI credit. Paid plans include a monthly AI allowance, and optional credit packs can top up usage if you need more differentials before the next refill.
Can I use VetGnosis without paying?
Yes. The free tier is intended to remain useful for patient records, consult logging, vitals, appointments, attachments, offline use, and backup/restore. Paid tiers unlock ongoing AI usage and premium business workflows such as invoice and estimate export/share.
How does billing work?
Website purchases are processed through Paddle, with RevenueCat used to sync your paid entitlement into the Android app after login. The Android app reads your entitlement and does not send users to an external web checkout from inside the app.
Can I customize invoices and estimates?
Yes. For generated billing documents, you can set your clinic invoice name, use a custom currency symbol, choose tax/VAT labeling, apply tax percentages, and mark charges or fees as taxable or non-taxable. Paddle separately handles taxes for online subscription checkout.
What data is used for AI differentials?
VetGnosis sends the relevant case packet for the request: signalment, vitals, history, clinical findings, selected region/country context, and any included diagnostic images. Avoid adding unnecessary owner personal information to AI prompts.
Is VetGnosis suitable for replacing my full clinic PMS?
Not for every clinic yet. VetGnosis is currently strongest as a mobile-first veterinary workflow tool for individual clinicians and small teams. Clinic/team sync is part of the product direction, but the current app is still individual-first.
Can I export or share records?
Yes. VetGnosis supports practical sharing workflows such as patient PDFs, consult summaries, AI differential reports, attachments, invoices, estimates, and backup/restore files. You remain responsible for checking recipients and complying with client confidentiality rules.
What happens if I cancel a paid plan?
Cancellation stops future renewal. You keep access through the paid period unless the checkout or refund process says otherwise. After paid access ends, the app can continue supporting core records, while paid features and recurring AI usage may be restricted.
Who handles refunds and payment support?
Website payments are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Refund and payment questions can be handled through Paddle support and VetGnosis billing support according to the published Billing and Refund Policy.
