1. Delete your account in the app
- Open VetGnosis and sign in.
- Tap your profile picture at the top of the home screen to open your account.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted, type DELETE in the confirmation box, enter your password and tap Delete my account.
The deletion starts straight away and cannot be undone. We ask you to type DELETE and to enter your password so that an accidental tap, or someone else holding an unlocked phone, cannot delete your account.
2. Cancel a Google Play subscription first
Deleting your VetGnosis account does not cancel a subscription bought through Google Play. Open Google Play, go to Payments and subscriptions, and cancel it before you delete the account, or Google will keep billing you. The delete screen has a button that opens your Google Play subscriptions.
3. If you cannot use the app
If you have lost your phone, cannot sign in or have removed the app, email hello@vetgnosis.app from the email address registered to your VetGnosis account with the subject "Delete my VetGnosis account". We only act on requests sent from the account's own email address. We will reply and ask you to answer with the word DELETE, so that nothing is deleted by mistake. Once you have confirmed, we delete the account and reply again to say it is done, within 30 days of your first email and usually much sooner.
4. What is deleted
- Your sign-in and profile.
- Your plan record and any AI credits you had left. Credits are not refunded and cannot be moved to another account.
- Every AI request and result stored on our servers, including any photos sent with a request.
- Any reports you sent about AI results.
- Your customer record with our subscription provider, RevenueCat, where we are able to remove it.
5. What we keep
- A note that your email address has already used its free trial. It holds no name, phone number or clinical data, and it stops the free trial being claimed a second time.
- Basic payment records (the product, the date and the type of event) that tax, accounting and fraud rules require us to keep. They do not include your name or email address.
- Records held by Google, PayPal or your bank. Those providers keep their own records under their own policies.
6. Records on your phone
Patient records, consults, invoices, attachments and backups saved on your phone stay on your phone, because they belong to you and are not held on our servers. The delete screen lets you also remove this account's AI run history and case records from the phone. To erase everything else, use Clear clinical data in the app or uninstall it.
